3rd General Assembly, JCIN UI

On Sunday, 3 May, 2026, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nigeria, University of Ibadan, in collaboration with Jobberman Nigeria, hosted its 3rd General Assembly. Held at the Faculty of Technology Large Theatre, University of Ibadan, the General Assembly was centered on the theme: “Mastering Workplace Skills for Growth, Relevance, and Impact.” Jobberman Nigeria served as the trainer of the day and took members through lessons on effective communication, preparation for interviews, time management for productivity, problem-solving skills, and cover letter writing. The training was accompanied by a test and certification.

Guests who graced the event included JCIN Amb. Joel Adepoju, JCI Africa and Middle East Skills Development Chairman, and the team from Jobberman.

The other part of the GA featured the presentation of plans of action by the Directorate of Trainings and Individual Opportunities, the Directorate of Content and Publicity, and the Directorate of Socials and Welfare.

The Executive Vice President (Internal) presented awards to Oluwakanyinsola Leigh and Hikmat Sanusi as the Most Outstanding Board Members of the Month, Doyinsola Olayiwola as Most Outstanding Family Head of the Month, and Christopher Shulamite as Most Outstanding Member of the Month.

A highlight of the General Assembly was the presentation of awards by the President, recognizing outstanding contributions within the local organization for the month of May. The Lanre Bello Family was honored as the Family of the Month, while the Directorate of Growth and Retention received the award for Directorate of the Month for their dedicated efforts. Individual excellence was also celebrated, with Adegbesan Oluwadamilola being named Board Member of the Month and Ogunjobi Gift recognized as the Member of the Month. These awards underscored the commitment of members to the values and growth of JCI Nigeria, University of Ibadan.

The General Assembly ended with all due protocol, after which members gathered for informal networking.
