Looking back at my journey with JCI so far, the biggest word that comes to mind is growth, not just in the tasks I’ve handled, but in who I am steadily becoming.
When I first joined, I was simply eager to network and connect with like-minded people who cared about making a real difference. Beyond that, I was searching for a platform where I could truly contribute and build meaningful things.
Over time, having the opportunity to help nurture and retain our members truly opened my eyes and brought that vision to life. It taught me that real impact isn’t about taking the spotlight; it’s about making sure every single person feels valued, heard, and excited to be part of our community and create those meaningful things together.
The transformation for me has been deeply personal and beautiful. I’ve learned how to listen better, how to be more patient, and how to encourage others even when the work gets challenging. It has shifted my perspective from just wanting to participate, to genuinely wanting to build warm, welcoming spaces where people can thrive and stay committed to our shared goals.
JCI has been such a sweet space to learn, build resilience, and grow alongside incredible people. I am profoundly grateful for the shared moments, the brainstorming sessions, and the quiet realizations that we are doing something that truly matters. It’s a journey I’m so thankful to be on, and I carry these beautiful lessons with me in everything I do.
