The CAP is a flagship project of Junior Chambers International, University of Ibadan. It is aimed at the University community. A 4-day Boot Camp for undergraduates and young people to discuss the skills of the future, financial literacy, personal leadership and employability skills for sustaining modern careers. The virtual bootcamp spanned 2 weekends (2nd – 3rd & 9th – 10th of September) and had its theme as “More Than Just Skills: Be and Being Employable in Today’s World”.
Still in progress, the Career Acceleration Project is divided into three phase namely; The
Career Bootcamp, The Skillup, and The Pivot. The first and third days of the Bootcamp featured introduction to different digital skills to participants to help them make an informed decision on which track to commit to, a prerequisite for the Skill Up phase of the project. The 2nd day took a different turn and had us talking about finances and how to position your skills for monetization.
