October 8 to 12, 2025 was the much anticipated Akure ‘25, and the National Convention didn’t fall short of expectations. From the enchanting view, to the food, to the impact filled training sessions, and to the parties and social events, it was one fun filled day after another. Each day brought something new and exciting, and all the delegates were up and active to take in every moment of it. We documented some of the delegates’ experiences, so you can feel the energy, even if you weren’t there.

First we have our very own Amokun Aishat from JCIN UI.

Kindly introduce yourself
My name is Amokun Aishat Adeshola, I am representing JCIN UI, and my occupation is a student.
Anticipating the awaited Akure’25, what were your expectations?
My expectations were to explore Akure, meet new people, party hard, and network with outstanding JCI members from across the nation
Was there any moment that impact or stood out for you during your experience at Akure’25?
Yes, the moment that stood out for me was the fun trip to the Amusement Park with my fellow JCIN UI members. It was a fantastic way to bond and share a memorable experience outside of the formal convention setting.
Which line of the JCI Creed resonates with you the most right now, as you leave Akure, and what does it motivate you to do next?
The line that resonates the most is: “that earth’s greatest treasure lies in human personality”. It motivates me to seek out mentorship and actively engage in personal development workshops and programs within JCI. The convention showed me the diverse strengths and potential in every member. My next step is to invest in myself and others by sharing knowledge and honing my own unique skills and leadership qualities, ensuring I fully unlock the “treasure” within my own personality to better serve my community.
Describe the overall ‘vibe’ of Akure ’25 in just three words, and briefly explain one of them.
The overall vibe of Akure ’25 was Energetic, Connected, and Inspiring. I would briefly explain Energetic. This energy was constant, from the engaging training sessions to the vibrant social events. The collective enthusiasm and drive of Nigerian youth were palpable, making every moment productive and memorable.
Next we have the beautiful Deborah Adene

Kindly introduce yourself
My name is Deborah Adene from JCIN UI. I’m a Freelance Writer.
Anticipating the awaited Akure’25, what were your expectations?
Welllll, I just wanted something different and exciting from previous conferences. I wanted something similar but more exciting — I don’t know if that makes sense.
Was there any moment that impacted or stood out for you during your experience at Akure’25?
One moment that stood out for me was when our Local Organization President, Taiwo Odusote, was giving her presidential report at the national GA.
It was a moment of immense pride and admiration for me, especially as the National President was all smiles and seemed very proud of her.
Another standout experience was our LO’s visit to the amusement park. It was very nostalgic getting to bring out the inner child in me on swings and rides. And getting to do it with other members of our LO? Amazing, amazing.
Which line of the JCI Creed resonates with you the most right now, as you leave Akure, and what does it motivate you to do next?
Has to be the line that says, “Service to humanity is the best work of life.”
That line would always motivate me to render service to humanity and to keep making impacts as there are only a few things that beat impact.
Describe the overall ‘vibe’ of Akure ’25 in just three words, and briefly explain one of them.
The vibe in three words? Phew, hard one, hard one. I’d say “impressively aesthetically pleasing”.
I know the instruction is to explain just one of them but if I don’t explain all three together, I fear that the interconnectivity and real meaning would be reduced to surface level.
First, all locations used for Akure’25, were veeeery aesthetically pleasing. From the hotels to the rooms, to the suites and the halls — very pleasing to the eye.
Then, the coordination and bond amongst the LO members? It was very pleasing to see.
It was heartwarming how we all did stuff together, laughed and played together and best of all, partied together! Shout-out to every member who was in attendance — especially the ladies! They were so full of warmth and glee.
Of course, hearty shout-out to the guys too especially those who didn’t allow me to die of cold.
Finally, the way other LOs and city chapters warmed up to us wherever we met? Very much aesthetically pleasing too, I must say.
Remember when we said the views were enchanting? Now you can imagine it, and not just take our word for it!
We also got responses from delegates from other Local Organizations. First we have Excel from JCIN Unilag.

Kindly introduce yourself
I am Excel Osehotue Ojemen, the editor-in-chief at JCIN UNILAG.
Anticipating the awaited Akure’25, what were your expectations?
I was looking forward to meeting other JCIN members from various LOs, both city and collegiate.
Was there any moment that impacted or stood out for you during your experience at Akure’25?
It had to be the collegiate GA. I had never attended one before and seeing how it played out was very cool and insightful.
Which line of the JCI Creed resonates with you the most right now, as you leave Akure, and what does it motivate you to do next?
Hm… I have a line of the JCI creed that always resonates with me regardless of what’s happening. However, I won’t say any specific line resonates more as a result of NatCon. It’s the same for me.
Describe the overall ‘vibe’ of Akure ’25 in just three words, and briefly explain one of them.
Mellow, sunny, and orange. Sunny because I thought I’d seen it all in Lagos, but Akure sun is brutal. The clouds would part and I’d feel the heat on every part of my body. Lagos sun is nothing compared to what I experienced in Akure.
And finally, we have the vibrant Sunday from JCIN FUTA.

Kindly introduce yourself
My name is Ajinda Sunday Danie, representing JCIN FUTA. I’m a student of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and I’m into construction.
Anticipating the awaited Akure’25, what were your expectations?
Yes, my expectations were exploring opportunities for personal growth, Networking and building relationships with like-minded individuals and having fun to the fullest, forgetting the economic state of the country.
Was there any moment that impacted or stood out for you during your experience at Akure’25?
Yes, the way an elderly man resolved a dispute between a local organization member and a senator.
N/B:There is actually a story behind this but I will keep it to myself.
Which line of the JCI Creed resonates with you the most right now, as you leave Akure, and what does it motivate you to do next?
That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to life and it motivates me to build stronger and meaningful relationships.
Describe the overall ‘vibe’ of Akure ’25 in just three words, and briefly explain one of them.
Lively and Energetic
Energetic :- Engaging in physical activity.
And so you’ve heard from the delegates themselves. Akure ‘25 was a memorable convention. If you missed this one, then we’re sorry. We hope that this will motivate you to prepare for the National Convention in Ibadan next year!
