JCIN UI held its first General Assembly of the session at the Technology Lecture Theater on March 29, 2026. The Local Organization President called the house to order to begin the meeting. In attendance were the Collegiate Vice Chairperson, Southwest; the Theme Speaker, JCIN Amb. Olansile Olarewaju; the Guest Personality, JCIN Amb. Adeola Adelabu and Brr. Raji Abdullah.

The Plans of Action of the Local Organization President, the Directorate of Growth and Retention, the Directorate of Induction, and the Chairperson of Voices of Tomorrow were deliberated and adopted by the General Assembly.

The Theme Speaker, JCIN Amb. Olansile Olarewaju spoke on the topic “Beyond Potential: Unlocking Leadership for Purposeful Impact.” He emphasized that leadership is defined not by your title, but by the problems you solve. Leadership is influence, responsibility, and a sacrifice that goes beyond mere potential. He challenged JCIN UI members by asking, “What are you doing for others? How are you solving their problems?” He further noted that being a JCI member means more than just attending a General Assembly; your impact should be felt in your halls and everywhere you go. True influence comes from helping people and sacrificing for them.

The Constitution of the Disciplinary Committee: The Chairperson of the Disciplinary Committee, the Director of Protocol, and the General Legal Counsel. Although four members were nominated by the General Assembly, Bankole Margaret and Oshobi Oluwapelumi were the two officially voted in as members of the committee.

The Guest Personality, JCIN Amb. Adeola Adelabu delivered his speech and emphasized that both as an organization and as individuals, we must evolve. He noted, “Why you joined is important, but what keeps you is even more important.” He encouraged members, even those who may have joined accidentally, to find a sense of purpose. Because JCI is about people, members should focus on empowering others and providing leadership opportunities. Regardless of whether your reason for joining was valid or not, what matters now is that you are here. He concluded by challenging everyone to make the most of the experience.

In conclusion, the Guest Personality, JCIN Amb. Adeola Adelabu also provided a 50% subsidy on FOSC tickets for ten people.
