
The Junior Chambers International Nigeria, University of Ibadan (JCIN UI) paid a formal courtesy Visit to the Oyo State Agency For Youth Development on the 22nd September, 2025. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss potential collaboration and seek support for the upcoming Fifteen Outstanding Persons Award (FOPA). In attendance was Hon. Falana Adebowale Adebayo (Chairman of the Oyo State Agency For Youth Development), Mr. Olusumbo Sangogade (The Coordinating Director of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development), Miss Mariam Hussain, (Youth Development Officer), Taiwo Olanlesi Odusote(Local Organisation President, JCIN UI), Ayomide Awofeso (Director of Communication and external relations, JCIN UI), Yusrah Majolagbe (Editor-in-chief, JCIN UI) and Olutayo Samson (Deputy editor-in-chief, JCIN UI).
During the meeting, the Local Organisation President, Taiwo Olanlesi Odusote, presented a short but comprehensive pitch for the upcoming Fifteen Outstanding Person’s Award (FOPA) event happening on the 25th October, 2025. She highlighted the event’s core values, objectives, and anticipated impact, underscoring its significance in recognizing and celebrating exceptional young individuals. Ms. Odusote also formally solicited the Chairman’s support, to ensure the success of the event.

The discussion was noted as particularly productive, largely due to Hon. Adebayo’s past affiliation with JCI. His experience as a former member fostered a strong rapport and a deeper understanding of the organization’s mission, leading to a positive reception of the FOPA proposal.
