He highlighted the positive impact of learning about other cultures and called for unity and the minimization of conflicts through acceptance and appreciation of individual differences.
The keynote speaker, Ibukunoluwa Otesile, CEO of Hope Haven Counseling Clinic, discussed the significance of cultural diversity for peace and unity. She highlighted the benefits of cultural diversity, such as increased creativity and innovation, and addressed the challenges, including stereotypes and cultural hegemony. Otesile suggested promoting cultural diversity through education, conversations, and government policies that protect and celebrate diversity.
The Interfamily Oratory Contest featured speakers from various families, and the winners were announced. Adeleke Rosheedah from the Hadiza Omatshola family won the contest with a score of 84%, followed by Shammah Oluga from the Taiwo Ande family as the first runner-up with 80%, and Okonkwo Victoria from the Seun Omotayo family as the second runner-up with 68%.
